Weekly Series Counting Down Top NFL Players Airs Wednesdays at 9:00 PM ET, Followed by ‘The Top 100 Players of 2014 Reactions’ Show at 10:00 PM ET
For the fourth consecutive year, current NFL players have voted to determine the top 100 players in the NFL. The Top 100: Players of 2014 premieres Saturday, May 10 at 8:00 PM ET on NFL Network, immediately following coverage of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Players ranked No. 100 – 91 will be revealed during the first episode. Among the 10 players are a number one overall pick, a Defensive Rookie of the Year and a running back with two consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons.
The 11-episode, weekly series continues Wednesday, May 14 at 9:00 PM ET, and airs each subsequent Wednesday until the back-to-back episode finale unveils the top 10 players of 2014 on July 9 at 9:00 and 10:00 PM ET.
Following each weekly episode, The Top 100 Players of 2014 Reactions show airs live from the NFL Network studios at 10:00 PM ET. Hosted by Lindsay Rhodes and featuring NFL Network analysts Warren Sapp, Mike Silver and Dave Dameshek, the 30-minute show provides instant reaction to players unveiled – and not unveiled – on the latest episode. NFL players who have been voted onto the top 100 will also join the Reactions show throughout the series.
Additionally, the voice of the fan will be prominently heard each week as the results of instant twitter polls and NFL.com voting will be announced and debated each show. Fans can vote if each player has been ranked #toohigh, #toolow, or #justright, and the results of that fan vote and others polls throughout the series will be unveiled in the subsequent Reactions show. During the show, fans can also interact by using the #nfltop100 hashstag on Twitter.
Returning for the third season, Player Rater – anonymous NFL player(s) – will be prominent throughout The Top 100 Players of 2014 series to give unfiltered reaction to the rankings of his peers. Under the Twitter handle @PlayerRater14, the unidentified, current NFL player will live tweet during each episode. In The Top 100 Players of 2014 Reactions show, the Player Rater will further elaborate on his tweets featured during the episode.
Through the NFL Mobile from Verizon app, fans can watch all NFL Network programming, including The Top 100 Players of 2014 series, on the go.
Fans can vote on the greatest players going into the 2014 NFL Season at NFL.com/Top100. Each week, results will be shown on The Top 100 Players of 2014 Reactions show. Additionally, after players are unveiled at their specific rankings, fans can vote for the most overrated and underrated players.
