Giants-Cowboys Second-Most-Watched Show of Fall
Games Top Local Ratings in 24 of 30 NFL Markets
The FOX national telecast (mostly N.Y. Giants-Dallas Cowboys) was the most watched TV program last week (Oct. 22-28) topping all sports and entertainment competition with 26.9 million viewers. This marks the eighth time in eight weeks that an NFL game has topped the viewership charts.
For the season, NFL games rank as the 12 most-watched TV shows since Labor Day. Following are the most-watched programs this fall:

Super Schools Selected for Showing NFL Spirit and Dedication To Youth Health and Wellness
NFL to Give Each School $10,000 NFL PLAY 60 Grant & Visit From an NFL Player
Thirty-four schools from across the country were selected as NFL PLAY 60 Super Schools, it was announced today. Winning schools entered the PLAY 60 Super School contest and will receive a $10,000 NFL PLAY 60 grant for health and wellness programming or equipment and a visit from an NFL player.
To kick off the 2012 NFL season,school personnel were encouraged to demonstrate their passion for their favorite NFL teams and excitement for the upcoming season. Winning schools in each of the 32 teams’ local communities and two at-large recipients described how their schools incorporated the NFL into their curriculum and shared their commitment to youth health and wellness and eating right, foundations of the PLAY 60 campaign, at www.NFLRUSH.com/BackToFootball.
The 34 honorees were named “NFL PLAY 60 Super Schools” and will receive physical education equipment for future use, in addition to the grant and visit from NFL representatives. The visits begin today, and the full list of recipient schools is included below. NFL Network and its affiliates will be providing each winning Super School’s school district with an opportunity to win an additional $10,000 grant through the Keep Gym in School program.

The NFL annouced today the Week 8 nominees for the FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week, Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week, & GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week.
Quarterbacks TOM BRADY of the New England Patriots, PEYTON MANNING of the Denver Broncos and MATTHEW STAFFORD of the Detroit Lions are the finalists for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week honors for games played on October 25-29, while running backs DOUG MARTIN of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, TRENT RICHARDSON of the Cleveland Browns and STEVAN RIDLEY of the New England Patriots are the finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.
Running back VICK BALLARD of the Indianapolis Colts, quarterback ANDREW LUCK of the Indianapolis Colts, running back DOUG MARTIN of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, running back TRENT RICHARDSONof the Cleveland Browns and safety HARRISON SMITH of the Minnesota Vikings are the finalists for PEPSI MAX NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK honors for games played on October 25-29, the NFL announced today.
