AP: 212 players may lose unrestricted free agency

Eight players selected to the 2010 Pro Bowl -– including NFL sack leader Elvis Dumervil and NFC receiving yards leader Miles Austin –- are among the more than 200 NFL players who stand to be restricted free agents rather than unrestricted free agents without a new collective bargaining agreement, Howard Fendrich of The Associated Press reported on December 30.

“All of a sudden, your rules change,” said quarterback Jason Campbell, who started all 16 games for the Redskins in 2009. β€œIt’s going to affect us not just short term but long term.”
